Ireland ran in three tries to get their attacking spark back as first-half tries from Conor Murray and Jacob Stockdale were added to by a second-half score from Keith Earls, with replacement fly-half Joey Carbery adding his delightful touch to create the third score.
Scotland's response came just before the break from Sam Johnston, but they struggled to take their chances and slipped to a disappointing result on home soil. Re-live the live updates below.

Prediction…
Ireland by 3: Scotland can cut any side to shreds on their day, but Ireland will need to produce a response after last week's result. They have not transformed into a bad side overnight, and although Scotland were impressive in patches against Italy, they will have to find a way to expose Ireland's restrictive defence.
74 mins: Price puts a neat chip in behind the Irish defence that finds touch about 15 metres out from the Irish line. The game is stopped though with Jones down and receiving treatment, and with Scotland out of replacements he'll need to dig deep and carry on.
75 mins: Ritchie has had a brilliant game but he's pinged for coming in at the side in trying to secure possession as Kinghorn goes into contact and that gives Ireland territory and possession on the Irish 22.
77 mins: The game is slipping away from Scotland now, although the ball is knocked forwards and they get possession back. Murray leaves the field as John Cooney comes on, and Scoland turn the form book on it's head with a scrum penalty of their own. Not only do they need to score twice, they need to score one just to claim a losing bonus point.
79 mins: And that will be that by the looks of it. Brown has his lineout picked off by Ulthane Dillane, although Ireland decide to kick the ball away and back their defence to keep Scotland out.
80 mins: Ireland have the scrum as the ball ticks red...
