At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Arizona Cardinals took Kyler Murray with the first overall pick, meaning Josh Rosen's future lies elsewhere.
The Oakland Raiders enjoyed a busy night with three first round picks, while the Green Bay Packers, New York Giants and Seattle Seahawks all made big moves.
The Raiders trade back, so it's the Bills.
And it's Cody Ford, T, Oklahoma who is their guy at 38.
A talented right tackle or guard, who is extremely physical.
At 39, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers take Sean Bunting, CB, Central Michigan.
At 40, the Oakland Raiders take Trayvon Mullen, CB, Clemson.
The Broncos are up next with two picks, their first at 41: Dalton Risner, OT, Kansas State.
Drew Lock finds a home in Denver!
The Broncos have their future QB, who will sit behind Joe Flacco for a year or two.
43: Detroit Lions: Jahlani Tavai, LB, Hawai'i
44: Green Bay Packers: Elgton Jenkins, OL, Mississippi State
45: New England Patriots (from Los Angeles Rams): Joejuan Williams, CB, Vanderbilt
46: Cleveland Browns (via Indianapolis Colts): Greedy Williams, CB, LSU
Seattle Seahawks get some help from the physical safety Marquise Blair, from Utah at 47.
He loves to play downfield and should match up nicely with the tradition in Seattle as they look to move on from the Legion of Boom era.
New Orleans take Center Erik McCoy from Texas A&M next at No 48.
Miami look to call Arizona's bluff in the trade talks for Josh Rosen.
They weaken their second round pick by moving back with that trade with New Orleans.
Will the Cardinals crumble? Smart either way from the Dolphins, who load up for the QB-heavy 2020 draft.
50. Minnesota Vikings: Irv Smith Jr, TE, Alabama.
With wide receivers still on the board, including DK Metcalfe and AJ Brown, could the Cowboys switch their focus away from tight end of safety?
The Titans grab AJ Brown at 51!
He beats Ole Miss teammate DK Metcalfe to be the first picked.
Drew Sample is next off the board, the Washington TE goes to the Bengals.
MAJOR TRADE ALERT
The Cardinals grab the Dolphins' 62nd pick for quarterback Josh Rosen.
It was a mess, but it was hard to see them picking up much more value under the circumstances.
The Cardinals use the pick for Andy Isabella, WR, UMass.
