The Kiwis posted 239 following Tuesday's rain delay and looked destined to cruise home when they removed Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli with the new ball. But a brilliant fightback from Ravi Jadeja and MS Dhoni saw India roar back into it before Trent Boult's saw off Jadeja before Dhoni was run out in dramatic fashion at the death.
New Zealand will now face either England or Australia in Sunday's showpiece.

29.3 - New Zealand 109-2, K Williamson 50, R Taylor 17, Y Chahal 0-32 (6.3)
And up comes that half-century for Kane Williamson. He's put his team on his back yet again, in early and battling along, to the mark from 79 balls, with 4x4, 0x6.
30.0 - New Zealand 113-2, K Williamson 50, R Taylor 21, Y Chahal 0-36 (7)
New Zealand's solidity has forced Chahal to strive for wickets and work through his variations more, and he looks a worse bowler for it. The consistency in line and length that made his first five overs so dangerous has gone somewhat awry, and he allows Taylor to sweep backward of square as he shoots one down the leg-side.
30.1 - New Zealand 117-2, K Williamson 54, R Taylor 21, H Pandya 0-31 (6.1)
Lucky!
A hopeful heave at a short ball from Williamson, a nasty top edge and fortunate to see it fall safely to the right of fine leg and hop away for four.
31.0 - New Zealand 120-2, K Williamson 56, R Taylor 22, H Pandya 0-34 (7)
Taylor also miscues a pull but there's not enough meat in the stroke to carry to square-leg. New Zealand trying to up the ante but finding the going relatively tough.
31.3 - New Zealand 121-2, K Williamson 57, R Taylor 22, J Bumrah 1-11 (4.3)
Edged, but it doesn't quite carry!
Bumrah takes the pace off and nips it away from Taylor pushing with hard hands away from the body, and drawing a fine edge.
It appears destined for the hands of M.S. Dhoni but it dies on its way through, dipping in front of the gloves of the wicket-keeper, Dhoni perhaps a little reluctant to dive forward and collect it.
32.0 - New Zealand 121-2, K Williamson 57, R Taylor 22, J Bumrah 1-11 (5)
Brilliant stuff on return from Bumrah - a solitary single from the over.
33.0 - New Zealand 122-2, K Williamson 58, R Taylor 22, R Jadeja 1-26 (9)
Another tight one from Jadeja, the lone attacking shot chanced by Taylor skewing from the outside edge. A single, five dots, and that'll be drinks.
