The tee times for the final day at The Open have been moved forward by around an hour to avoid bad weather conditions, which are due to hit Northern Ireland's Royal Portrush course late in the evening.

The final group, which is currently set to be made up of Shane Lowry and Tommy Fleetwood as they lead the way on -13 and -12 respectively, will take to the course at 1:47pm on Sunday afternoon.

The tee-off is an hour earlier than last year's final round at Carnoustie, and two hours earlier than when Lowry and JB Holmes started their third round on Saturday.

"Sunday tee times have been moved forward due to the adverse weather forecast," tournament organisers the R&A tweeted.

"The first tee time will be at 7:32am with the leaders beginning their final round at 1:47pm."

It is the second time this year that the final round of a major has been affected by weather, following the early finish to The Masters last April when Tiger Woods secured his 15th career major victory.

On that occasion, heavy thunderstorms expected in the afternoon lead to organisers deciding on a two-tee start and threesomes instead of pairings, though players will remain in twos at The Open and it has been decided that there is enough time for all groups to tee off from the first hole as planned.

2nd hole

Fleetwood (-12) was in the rough off the tee and had to lay up. His third to the flag is a beauty and finishes about 9ft away leaving him with a good chance for birdie. Lowry (-15) chips his third onto the green but rolls up behind Tommy's ball, he'll be giving Fleetwood a look at the line of the putt.

2nd hole

A tough putt to read moves slightly left-to-right for Lowry (-15) as the ball kisses the hole. He makes par and gives Fleetwood a chance to close the gap further. Tommy takes his time, reads the line and hits it at good pace, but sends it right. He stays at (-12).

3rd hole

Justin Rose found the left side rough off the tee and is punished for it, making a bogey and dropping to (-8).

5th hole

Westwood (-9) saves his par on the fourth with a great return putt under pressure. He follows that up with an adrenaline fuelled drive to the fifth green that pulls up a couple of yards short of the putting surface. Were the final group look nervous Lee looks like he's having a great time.

3rd hole

It's not going to be a birdie for Fleetwood (-12) on three, his tee shot goes to the right of the green. Lowry (-15) settles down and hits the left side of the green. He'll have a long putt for birdie.

4th hole

The resurgence of Rickie Fowler (-9) continues, three birdies in three holes now for Rickie as he joins Westwood on 9-under. Justin Rose (-8) plays a perfect third shot in close to the flag from the fairway to secure his par.

2nd hole

Fleetwood (-12) chips onto the green and has a good chance of making par which should be enough to keep the gap to three shots.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 14:24

2nd hole

Lowry stays at (-15) with a solid par on the third. Fleetwood (-11) gives him back a shot by missing his putt. The lead is back to four.

4th hole

Brooks Koepka (-6) is haemorrhaging, he's bogeyed the first three holes and looks more than likely to bogey the fourth too.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 14:26

5th hole

Over to Danny and Lee with their birdie putts on the fifth. Willett (-8) rolls his past the left edge and takes par. Westwood (-10) goes one better holes it, he moves within five shots!

4th hole

Lowry (-15) and Fleetwood (-12) both find the fairway with Tommy slightly over to the left and slightly further in front of the leader.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 14:30

4th hole

Disaster for Koepka (-5), his race is run as he bogeys the first four holes and moves 10 shots behind Lowry.

6th hole

Don't be sleeping on Lee Westwood (-10) he's on the green off the tee on the par-3 sixth and will have another putt for birdie.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 14:33

4th hole

Incredible for Lowry (-15) he works the ball from right-to-left on his approach to the green and he lands it within birdie range. Fleetwood's (-11) finishes further away so a par looks more likely for the Englishman

5th hole

Did I say he was done? Koepka's (-5) tee shot on five is perfect, he hits to the back off the green and runs the ball back down the slope toward the hole finishing about 7ft away. He'll have that putt for eagle.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 14:37

4th hole

Fleetwood (-11) finds the right line for his birdie putt but the moisture on the green holds the ball up before it gets there. It's a par. Lowry (-16) gets his round back to level par with a nice birdie, the second shot was the killer blow. Out comes the fist pump as the lead increases to five.

Michael Jones21 July 2019 14:39

5th hole

The wind comes and goes over this drive-able hole. Lowry (-16) takes the 3-wood, it lands soft but stays in the fairway near the bunker. Fleetwood (-11) responds with an absolute cracker, he smashes it, reaches the green and finishes about 12-15ft away from the flag.
