From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Women's Five-on-Five Elimination Match

Nikki, heaped over in the back, appears to have been attacked backstage. Luckily (coincidentally, some may say), both teams have a team coach, and it's Natalya who comes to the rescue as the Canadian favourite fills in to complete the Smackdown team.

Women's Five-on-Five Elimination Match

Alicia Fox and Carmella get things underway and it;s te Smackdown representative who takes the initiative with a hurricane leg scissors. She goes for the pin, but Fox is holding her own. She tags in becky Lynch, while Bayley comes in for Raw, but Charlotte tags herself in...only for Sasha to tag her self in. The Raw teammates start bickering between themselves, before all hell breaks lose as all 10 women begin brawling. It's soon brought to a sudden halt though when Nia Jax sends all the Smackdown team crashing to the canvas, and Lynch and Banks eventually get back at it one on one.

Each member of the Smackdown team then tries to take down Nia Jax, but not even two of them can bring her down to her knees as she delivers a brutal double clothesline to Natalya and Carmella.
