Boca Juniors and River Plate drew 2-2 Sunday in the delayed first leg of the Copa Libertadores final.

Boca forward Ramon Abila opened the scoring in the 34th minute at La Bombonera Stadium with a powerful left-footed shot into the top left corner.

River striker Lucas Pratto equalized two minutes later, sending the ball into the bottom left corner. Forward Dario Benedetto then made it 2-1 to Boca with a header in first-half stoppage time before Boca defender Carlos Izquierdoz scored an own-goal in the 61st minute.

It's the first time the two Argentine teams have met in the final of South America's equivalent of the Champions League and the he match was postponed on Saturday because torrential rain flooded the stadium.

The second leg is at River's Monumental de Nunez stadium on 24 November. Re-live the action:

Boca look a little shell-shocked here - they have to come again, as they look to take a lead to the El Monumental in 13 days time.

Boca make their second change, with former Manchester United and Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez coming on to replace Sebastian Villa.

Can the 34-year-old be the hero for the hosts?

Rafael Santos Borre of River Plate picks up a needless yellow card for squaring up to a bunch of Boca players, and that's significant because it means the striker is out of the second leg.

Carlos Tevez goes close for the hosts as his right-footed effort from 25 yards out goes just wide of the goalkeeper's left-hand post.

Boca Juniors 2-2 River Plate, 82 minutes

Only eight minutes to go here plus stoppage time, and there's no doubt that River Plate would be the happier team if the scoreline stayed like this. There's time for a winner yet though.

Boca make their third substitution, with right-back Leonardo Jara being replaced by Julio Buffarini. It looks like Jara is suffering from cramp.
