From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Switzerland are coming into this game with the possibility of getting the top position in Group E. If Serbia manage to get a win or a draw against Brazil on Wednesday then Group E will be theirs for the taking.
Switzerland recently beat Serbia 2-1 on Friday thanks to a late goal from Xherdan Shaqiri. This is their first win of the World Cup.
Costa Rica are yet to score a goal in the competition. They are coming into this game following their recent defeat against Brazil which now means that they cannot qualify for the knockout stage of the competition.

Prediction
Switzerland are heavily favoured to win this game as Costa Rica haven’t been performing very well in the competition so far and are no longer able to reach the round of 16.
It was as expected in tonight's Group E games, Brazil took apart a Serbia side with relative ease to top the group and book their place in the last 16, and Switzerland are also through after Costa Rica held them to a draw.
