The 2023/24 Premier League season is under way and you can follow every game and every goal right here with The Independent.

This year sees Manchester City try to defend their crown and claim a historic fourth title in succession. Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering City, who also won the Champions League and FA Cup last season, will have to see off Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool and the rest to claim an unprecedented sixth league title in seven years.

Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Follow the latest action from the Premier League below.

Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Nottingham Forest

The full-time whistle sounds as Forest hold on for a 1-1 draw at Molineux, stopping the rot after suffering four successive Premier League defeats. They took the lead early on when Toffolo nodded home at the back post, only to be pegged back when Cunha slotted Sarabia's cutback home in the 32nd minute. Chances were few and far between in the second half, with Wolves enjoying plenty of possession late on but struggling to open Forest up, with Turner denying Cunha with a solid save from their best chance for a winner. Will that point be enough for Cooper to still be in charge when Forest host Tottenham on Friday? We'll see in the coming days. Wolves have eight days to rest up ahead of their next game, at West Ham next Sunday. That's all from Molineux, so thanks for joining us and goodbye!

Wolves have been struggling to play through midfield since Lemina was withdrawn. Bellegarde loses possession as he tries to drive forward, but Forest's break is swiftly cut out by a lunging Toti. Five plus stoppage time to play.
