Vincent Kompany’s Burnley travel to Wolves in the hopes of backing up their impressive victory over Sheffield United at the weekend and taking strides to avoid the relegation zone.

The Clarets defeat the Blades 5-0 in a fluid and sweeping game of attacking football that felt reminiscent of their Championship dominance last season and Kompany will want to use that win as a springboard to take Burnley even further.

For their part, Wolves have lost their last two league games and a victory would propel them up the table and increase the gap above the relegation zone.

Follow the latest action from the Premier League below.

Hwang Hee-Chan continues fine goalscoring run with Wolves winner over Burnley

Hwang Hee-chan fired Wolves to a narrow win over struggling Burnley. The forward’s ninth goal of the season earned the hosts a 1-0 victory at Molineux.

Dan Bentley denied Josh Brownhill and Sander Berge in the first half, but the Clarets remain second bottom while Wolves – who recorded a first clean sheet since August – climb to 12th, 11 points above the relegation zone.

Fresh from their 5-0 thumping of Sheffield United, which ended a seven-game losing run, the Clarets looked to control the game.

The full-time whistle sounds at Molineux as Wolves hold on for a hard-fought win over Burnley! In a game of few chances in the West Midlands, Wolves' leading goalscorer Hwang made the difference by making O'Shea and Berge pay for a mix-up at the back three minutes before the break, taking in Cunha's pass before rolling a finish into the bottom-left corner. Sarabia and Dawson missed chances to extend their lead after the break, when Burnley seemed to run out of momentum. They will be ruing a phenomenal double save from Wolves' stand-in goalkeeper Bentley, who denied Rodriguez and Brownhill in stunning fashion shortly before the Clarets went behind. Wolves put further distance between themselves and the strugglers ahead of Saturday's home game against Nottingham Forest, while Burnley miss the chance to jump out of the bottom three. They go to Brighton in their next Premier League fixture this weekend. Until then, it's goodbye from us, and we'll see you next time!
