Wolverhampton Wanderers vs Brighton & Hove Albion LIVE: Premier League result, final score and reaction
Wolves 2-3 Brighton: The Seagulls struck late to take all three points to punish 10-man Wolves at Molineux
Pascal Gross’s late goal sealed a thrilling 3-2 victory for Brighton and Hove Albion at 10-man Wolverhampton Wanderers in a rip-roaring Premier League clash on Saturday.
Wolves trailed to an early Adam Lallana goal, then led with goals by Goncalo Guedes and Ruben Neves only for Kaoru Mitoma to level and Nelson Semedo to be red-carded, all before halftime.
Brighton pressed hard for a winner after the break but struggling Wolves were resisting admirably until Gross fired high into the roof of the net in the 83rd minute.
It was tough on Wolves, who had earlier named Spaniard Julen Lopetegui as their new manager, but Brighton deservedly backed-up last week’s victory over Chelsea to move into sixth place.
Brighton have 21 points from 13 games played while Wolves are in 19th place with 10 points.

Brighton eventually make their second-half man advantage count, beating Wolves 3-2 at Molineux thanks to Gross’ late winner. A four-goal first half was the two sides level after 45 minutes, but the two were not equal in terms of personnel at the interval, with Semedo sent off for a clumsy last-man back foul on Mitoma deep in first-half injury time. Wolves re-emerged from the break resolute and organised in defence, forming a low block before hitting on the counter through the industrious Guedes and Adama Traore. The tactic looked to work until the 83rd minute, when more good work from an impressive Mitoma put first Undav - and ultimately Gross - in the position to seal three points for the Seagulls. De Zerbi’s side were impressive if not clinical in possession and worked the ball well on their way to a second-successive win in the league.
