Looking to the second half, Wolves need to get a hold of their emotions before they can focus on the football. They have been far too feisty to play a good game of football, and their emotions are getting the better of them. If they can get them under control, they can begin to work on the Ipswich defence. For Ipswich, they need to keep doing the same as the first half. They are doing well and are ahead due to their persistent efforts. They will more than likely need an insurance goal, as they know from their recent game against Bournemouth, but they are in a good spot at the break.

It’s been a feisty 45 minutes here at Molineux and only one goal separates the two sides as they head into the break. The game has been a cagey affair for a large amount of the first half, and it has impacted the flow of the game because of the amount of stoppages. Ipswich pulled ahead in the 15th minute after a quiet opening period, and it was a very comical goal that they scored. Hutchinson failed to score from a few yards out, and after a goal-line clearance, Chaplin’s shot was deflected by two Wolves players before rolling over Johnstone’s line to make it 1-0 to the away side. Wolves had a great chance to equalise shortly after, but Bellegarde shot over the bar from inside the box. There has been a VAR check for violent conduct, and you can expect more cards in the second half as this game comes to a boil. Opta’s live win probability shows a 17.% chance of a Wolves win, 27.2% for a draw, and 55.3% for an Ipswich Town win. So far, Wolves have created 0.26 xG and Ipswich have created 0.61 xG.
