Jota's had two golden chances to give Liverpool the lead so far, but twice shot wide despite his efforts having a combined xG of 0.71. And breathe! A fast and furious first 45 minutes come to an end, and we've seen an absolute plethora of chances thus far! Paqueta's sensational opener for West Ham came against the run of play, with Gakpo's equaliser being just as good a strike at the other end. That gave way to further chances, most of which came at one end of the field as Liverpool peppered Fabianski's goal. Van Dijk and Jota (twice) have both struck wide from close-range, while West Ham chances for Antonio and Benrahma on the break have also failed to find the net. It's a game that doesn't look likely to stay at 1-1 for very long, and the second half could be a goal-fest of the highest quality!
