Data preview as West Ham welcome Tottenham Hotspur in the EPL

West Ham secured a huge London derby win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon, edging their rivals 1-0 thanks to a second-half Michail Antonio goal.

David Moyes’ men moved into the top four of the Premier League with the home victory, making it back-to-back wins this week after their comfortable Europa League outing against Genk on Thursday. Tottenham, meanwhile, suffered their second straight loss, following their defeat by Vitesse in the Europa Conference League – also on Thursday. The result saw Nuno Espirito Santo’s team drop to sixth in the table, too, as the Portuguese’s time as Spurs boss continues to disappoint fans of the north London club.

While the match at the London Stadium largely lacked the fireworks that this fixture so often produces, Antonio provided the spark for West Ham celebrations in the 72nd minute, when he stuck out a leg to convert an Aaron Cresswell corner at the near post. It was Antonio’s sixth goal of the season – his fifth in the Premier League – and marked Cresswell’s third assist of the week after his contributions in the home win against Genk. Follow all the fallout from West Ham’s Premier League victory over rivals Tottenham Hotspur below.

NO GOAL! Man Utd 0 - 5 Liverpool

53 mins: It’s chalked off! Manchester United are having no luck at all. Ronaldo was leaning offside, we’re taking inches here but the lines get drawn and the goal doesn’t count.

GOAL! Man Utd 1 - 5 Liverpool (Ronaldo, 52’)⚽️

52 mins: They’ve got one back! Harry Maguire dinks the ball over the Liverpool backline and picks out Ronaldo. He brings the ball down in the box, shifts it around Alexander-Arnold and Konate then curls one into the far bottom corner. Lovely finish.

Hang on though, there’s a VAR check for a potential offside...

GOAL! Man Utd 0 - 5 Liverpool (Salah, 50’)⚽️

50 mins: It’s a hat-trick for Salah! Pogba is dispossessed in the middle of the pitch and Henderson drives into United’s half. He sends a great ball through the United defence with the outside of his right foot as Salah runs in behind Shaw. Salah collects the ball and guides it past De Gea. Ruthless.

Salah’s breaking records

Mohamed Salah has now scored 106 goals in the Premier League, making him now the outright top African goalscorer in the competition’s history, surpassing Didier Drogba (104).

He’s also the first Liverpool player in the club’s history to score in three straight away appearances at Manchester United.

Man Utd 0 - 4 Liverpool

Two for Mo Salah, one for Diogo Jota and one for Naby Keita. Liverpool are running rampant at OldTrafford. There’s not going to be a comeback from Man Utd today. It’s now a matter of how many Liverpool want to score.

GOAL! Man Utd 0 - 4 Liverpool (Salah, 45+5’)⚽️

45+5 mins: Salah’s does it again! Liverpool work the ball across the front of United’s box as easily as you like. United’s defence falls apart again chasing after the ball. Jota knocks it into the right side of the area where Salah is wide open. He slots it underneath De Gea and Liverpool have a fourth!
