West Ham vs Man City LIVE: Premier League latest updates as Erling Haaland scores again
Follow all the action from London Stadium
West Ham United play host to Manchester City in Saturday’s late kick off with the reigning champions eyeing up top spot in the Premier League table. Earlier today, Arsenal and Brighton played out a 1-1 draw following Declan Rice’s sending off and both teams, who had not dropped points in the league this season had to settle for one point each.
The Hammers are hoping to extend their winning run having defeated Crystal Palace 2-0 in their last league outing and Bournemouth 1-0 in the Carabao Cup. They have strengthened during the summer transfer window and new manager Julen Lopetegui will be keen to upset City today.
Pep Guardiola’s men look dangerous though and none more so than Erling Haaland. The Norwegian bagged a hat-trick in a 4-1 mauling of Ipswich and three points in London this evening will keep them at the top of the table.

West Ham United vs Manchester City
While there is only one goal in this contest, West Ham may feel they can snatch an improbable point. More than once, they've unpicked City on the counter, with Bowen and Kudus more than capable of punishing any more mistakes.

OFF THE POST! West Ham almost strike on the break again! A breathtaking surge upfield ends with Kudus sprinting into space, and after reaching the lef side of City's area, he lets fly with a thunderous strike. However, he looks up to see it bouncing back off the lef-hand upright! What a strike - so unlucky!

Alvarez concedes a free-kick for fouling Lewis, and after De Bruyne delivers it into the area, Grealish pulls the ball back across the six-yard box. After a brief scramble, West Ham manage to get the ball away.

Meeting a corner swung into the six-yard box from the left, Bernardo Silva spurns a good chance to find the target with a header and his looping effort sails over the crossbar. That was a presentable opportunity.

Doku tries to thread the ball through for a teammate with a pass from outside the box, but a West Ham defender clears the ball to safety. Already, the same pattern of play has been resumed: City are on top.

West Ham United vs Manchester City
Not only are Man City unbeaten throughout the last 20 Premier League games in which they've led at half-time, winning each of the last 11, but West Ham have won just one of their last eight after trailing at the break. That doesn't suggest that a comeback is on, but stranger things have happened in football.
West Ham United vs Manchester City
Despite a half of near total dominance, Manchester City lead by just one goal at London Stadium, where hosts West Ham will probably be glad to only trail 2-1 at half-time. The Hammers started brightly, but Haaland clinically converted twice, either side of a Ruben Dias own-goal that was forced by Bowen on a rare counter-attack. Following his hat-trick last week, City's striker has been ruthless again, though they could've scored more given an xG of 2.11; West Ham's stands at just 0.05 so far. There have been few positives for Lopetegui to cling to, and turning things around against his old Barcelona teammate Guardiola truly represents a herculean task.
