Wales drew 1-1 with Belgium to secure home advantage in their World Cup play-off semi-final.

Kevin De Bruyne silenced a noisy Cardiff crowd inside 12 minutes, but Kieffer Moore equalised before half-time to give Wales the point they craved.

Already guaranteed a play-off spot through their Nations League results, Wales were determined to secure a home tie in March by finishing second in Group E.

The point was enough to finish above the Czech Republic and take their place among the six seeded teams in the play-offs. Turkey needed to win by four goals in Montenegro to deny Wales a home tie but could only manage a 2-1 victory.

Follow live reaction to Wales vs Belgium, below:

GOAL! Wales 0-1 Belgium (DE BRUYNE 12’)

Quality from De Bruyne! After some pinball in the Wales box, the ball breaks to De Bruyne on the edge and the Manchester City star guides a composed strike into the corner.

That’s the last person Wales wanted to see the ball fall to and De Bruyne made no mistake.

Wales 0-0 Belgium

8 mins: Belgium are enjoying the majority of possession so far - and force the first save of the match as Origi drives inside from a throw in and hits the target from long range as Ward is forced to palm the ball behind for a corner.

Turkey have fallen behind in Montenegro - which could be an early boost to Wales if they were to lose themselves.

Wales 0-0 Belgium

6 mins: It grows a little quiet inside the sold-out Cardiff City Stadium as Belgium string some passes together on the edge of their box. The Welsh shape is pretty solid, and De Bruyne can’t find a way through even after picking up the ball in his preferred right channel.

Wales 0-0 Belgium

4 mins: Neco Williams shrugs off a couple of challenges from Meunier and De Ketelaere on the touchline before swinging the ball into the box first time in search of Moore.

Theate sees it out and Belgium eventually clear after Hazard initially gave it away with an ambitious back heel in his own corner.

Wales 0-0 Belgium

3 mins: Ramsey has picked up possession in a couple of decent positions around the penalty box so far - his ball towards Roberts is cut out by Theate, before Belgium settle down for their first spell of possession of the match.

The Welsh national anthem, Hen Wlad Fy Nhadau (Land of my Fathers), just hits a bit different doesn’t it?

The background music is dropped for a special a cappella version at the Cardiff City Stadium - gives you goosebumps, that.

Kick-off is next!

We’re moments away from kick-off and a cracking atmosphere is building at the Cardiff City Stadium. The lights went out as the capacity crowd burst into noise prior to the players coming out of the tunnel.

It’s time for the anthems.

Even without Lukaku, Eden Hazard and Courtois, Belgium still have plenty of star power thanks to this man.

Kevin de Bruyne makes his 79th Belgium appearance tonight and he has remarkably only lost one World Cup or European Championship qualifier during his international career.

That one defeat? It came to Wales in Cardiff in 2015.
