From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. The Premier League’s summer transfer window is open with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal set to be busier than ever.

For the first time in over two decades Arsenal will head into the offseason with a new manager at the helm. That man will be former PSG boss Unai Emery after a stunning 11th hour change of heart at the Emirates. At United Jose Mourinho looks set to spend big again as he targets reinforcements in his bid to haul in record-breaking Manchester City next season. A new left-back and central midfield player are high on his list. Fred, Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and others are in the frame.

Liverpool have enjoyed success in the Champions League this term and their quest to end their league title drought in 2019 will be bolstered by the arrival of Naby Keita from RB Leipzig - he will not be the last new face on Merseyside, however with Lyon's Nabil Fekir one to watch. Chelsea could well be looking for a new manager themselves but Mauricio Pochettino has signed a new long-term contract at Tottenham Hotspur in a huge boost to the club.

We will have all the latest news, views, rumours, gossip and done deals right here so don't touch that dial.

Manchester United are close to agreeing the signing of Fred of Shakhtar Donetsk, as the club hope to get much of Jose Mourinho’s transfer plans completed before the World Cup.

A deal for Lazio’s Sergej Milinković-Savić is looking increasingly unlikely, however, due to a series of complications. That will lead Mourinho to assess other midfield options, as the area is one of his priorities for this summer, especially if - as expected now - Marouane Fellaini leaves for AC Milan on a free transfer.

The deal for Fred is very close, with United set to agree a deal of just under £50m.

Tottenham Hotspur defender Toby Alderweireld is another on Manchester United’s radar and Mourinho looks to add a central defender for the third consecutive summer, having brought in Victor Lindelof, who has disappointed, and Eric Bailly, who has lost his trust.

The Independent also reported Chelsea’s Willian, and one of either Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney or Juventus’ Alex Sandro are his other targets to bring up the competitiveness of the squad.

Signs of a managerial shuffle in the Serie A could herald the departure of Antonio Conte from ChelseaThe Sun reports. Carlo Ancelotti is now the new boss at Napoli, which could hold significance for Stamford Bridge's current head honcho.

Should Ancelotti replace Maurizio Sarri it will free up the Neapolitan, who has been tipped as Conte's successor, to pursue other ventures.

As a free agent Chelsea will not have to pay compensation to sign up Sarri, who guided second-placed Napoli to within four points of champions Juventus.

But while Sarri may come without contractual baggage, Chelsea may have to pay out millions if Conte chooses to take a break from football, theDaily Telegraph reports.

Having stated his intention to see out the final year on his contract, Chelsea would have to sack him to bring in Sarri, which could mean a £9million hit for the Blues.

Reports in Spain are linking Manchester City with a £70m offer for Real Madrid midfielder Isco, with Pep Guardiola said to be a huge fan of the Spain international.

Mundo Deportivo say that City are hoping to tempt Madrid into selling the midfielder, who has always struggled to cement his place in the first team, but it's not known if the Spanish club are willing to let him go this summer.

There's plenty of optimism at West Ham that the arrival of Manuel Pellegrini will help persuade high-profile players to the London Stadium, but could he also send one out of the door?

Javier Hernandez has been speaking about his future, and the uncertainty that surrounds where he will be playing next season.

Wayne Rooney has flown to Washington DC for talks over a potentially record-breaking move to Major League Soccer.

The Everton forward had planned to end his career on Merseyside after returning to his boyhood club from Manchester United last summer but his future has now been placed into serious doubt by the Goodison Park club’s determination to have a full rebuild this off-season

New sporting director Marcel Brands has already been announced - hired from PSV - and Marco Silva, the former Watford head coach, is favourite to join him in a revamped hierarchy.

Arsenal have identified Borussia Dortmund's Sokratis Papastathopoulos as a potential summer target as they hope to bolster their defence over the summer, according to the Daily Mirror.

The club will also be looking to bring in West Brom captain Jonny Evans for around £3million the paper said.

Jurgen Klopp has identified Burnley's James Tarkowski and Newcastle United's Jamaal Lascelles as his summer centre-half targets, as he seeks to bolster his Liverpool squad for next season.

The Champions League finalists want to bring in three to four players in the close-season window - including a goalkeeper, likely Jack Butland, and another attacker - but centre-half is again a priority position.

Klopp and the Liverpool transfer committee feel Tarkowski and Lascalles both fit what they want, and the club will try to buy one.

Manuel Pellegrini's summer transfer plans are set to get a £75million cash injection from West Ham's top brass, the Daily Mirror reports.

The new Irons boss said he is targeting "four of five" to beef up the squad ahead of his first season in charge at the Olympic Stadium.

The former Manchester City manager has signed a three-year deal as West Ham boss, succeeding David Moyes at the Hammers' helm.
