Crystal Palace's late swoop for Michy Batshuayi on loan should provide intrigue with the Belgian flopping at Valencia and requiring a fresh start, and with the Eagles still to face Man United, Arsenal and Tottenham, he could still aid Chelsea this season.
Arsenal wrapped up the loan (with an option to buy) signing of Barcelona's Denis Suarez to give Unai Emery an alternative option, whilst Newcastle's club record £21 million move for Miguel Almiron should please Rafa Benitez after a turbulent few weeks.

In case anybody cares: former Fulham striker Konstantinos Mitroglou has joined Galatasaray on loan from Marseille, the Turkish club has confirmed.
And for some reason, they have also very honestly confirmed that Mitroglou will earn €1.5m this season and another €2.6m next, with his loan running until summer 2020.

Chelsea have agreed new loan deals in principle for Batshuayi with both West Ham and Real Betis.
Fear not, Manchester United fans.
Marouane Fellaini is currently winging his way to China which – spoiler alert – takes quite a long time to do. There’s a good chance that his move won’t be complete by 11pm, but United don’t have to worry about that as the Chinese Super League transfer window remains open until the end of February.
Fellaini has already passed a medical and shared a photo on Instagram of himself at Manchester airport this morning, alongside the phrase: ‘Let’s go’.

West Ham have agreed a deal with FC Augsburg over the loan signing of Reece Oxford.
Here’s what the club had to say in a short statement published to their website:
Reece Oxford has signed a loan deal with Bundesliga side FC Augsburg for the rest of the 2018/19 season.
The 20-year-old defender returns to Germany for his second spell in the Bundesliga, having featured eight times for Borussia Monchengladbach last term.
Augsburg are currently 15th in the table, and will be looking for a strong second half of the campaign to better their 12th place finish in 2017/18.
Oxford made his first team debut for the Hammers as a 16-year-old in a July 2015 UEFA Europa League tie against Andorran side FC Lusitans and has gone on to play 17 games in the Claret and Blue.
West Ham United wishes Reece all the best for his loan spell with Augsburg.
