In the news today, the Mirror report that Jose Mourinho will not stand in Wayne Rooney’s way and prevent him from making a big-money summer move to the Chinese Super League with Guangzhou Evergrande and Beijing Guoan prepared to pay him wages of £700,000-a-week.
Everton want out-of-favour Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, according to the Daily Express, to replace captain Phil Jagielka, who has been linked with a move to Sunderland.
Manchester United will make a decision this week whether to push ahead with the signing of Victor Lindelof from Benfica for £38m, report the Daily Star.
Watford will sign former West Ham forward Mauro Zarate, initially on loan before completing a permanent £2.4m deal in the summer, report the Mirror. He will replace Odion Ighalo, who is set to move to West Brom after Saido Berahino’s departure.

Wayne Rooney has stressed that he remains committed to Manchester United, despite a lack of game-time and continued interest from the Chinese Super League.
Although manager Jose Mourinho has said he would not stand in the player's way should he wish to move on from Old Trafford, Rooney has made it clear he remains happy in Manchester.
He did concede that he is open to change once his contract ends, however.
"I'm committed," Rooney told Sky Sports after receiving the Football Writers' Association's Tribute Award on Sunday for his services to English football. "I have been at the club for a long time.

"Football is a strange game. Anything can happen and things change very quickly but I am happy at Manchester United.
"Of course, as I have said before, I want to play more games.
"[But] I am in a happy place, a good moment personally, so I think I have a year, with an option [of a] year to go. We will see what happens and what happens after that."
Alves to follow the Chinese revolution?
Dani Alves is the latest player to be targeted by the Chinese Super League, as their mission to lure the world's biggest assets continues. According to reports in Italy, Alves, who joined Juventus from Barcelona in the summer, has been offered €10m-a-year by Tianjin Quanjian.
