Arsenal have completed the club-record signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang after getting the green light from Borussia Dortmund to announce the deal, with the striker joining for £56m, and have followed it up by agreeing a new three-and-a-half year contract extension for Mesut Özil that will see him paid £350,000-a-week.
The Gunners have put the 3-1 defeat by Swansea behind them on Wednesday by announcing a new club-record deal, with Olivier Giroud now expected to leave the club. Giroud looks certain to leave Arsenal for Chelsea after Blues agreed an £18m deal with the Gunners to keep him remain in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Dortmund are set to sign Chelsea’s Michy Batshuayi on loan until the end of the season, with the Belgian striker in Dortmund undergoing a medical.
Manchester City will continue their late pursuit of Riyad Mahrez, although Leicester City are believed to have rejected a third offer on Tuesday worth £55m, and have informed the Premier League leaders that it will take a lot more to tempt them into selling as they do not have enough time to find a replacement.
Tottenham will also complete their first bit of business this month after agreeing a deal worth around £28m wit Paris saint-Germain to sign Lucas Moura, with a medical already completed this morning.

Alexandr Sorloth's move to Crystal Palace is close to being completed now.
The Norwegian striker, 22, is a hot prospect that had been watched by a ton of other Premier League clubs and a source at one of Palace's top-flight rivals told The Independent they were impressed that the Eagles had pulled this one off.
Contracts are yet to be signed but everyone involved expects this to happen now.
Everton have allowed forward Ademola Lookman to join Bundesliga outfit Red Bull Leipzig on loan for the rest of the season.
The 20-year-old has made 16 appearances for the Toffees this season but following the signing of Theo Walcott from Arsenal manager Sam Allardyce has allowed him to join the German club.
Everton signed Lookman from Charlton Athletic in January 2017 for an initial £7.5m which could rise to £11m.
The Toffees are still in negotiations with Manchester City over a loan deal for defender Eliaquim Mangala.

Arsenal defender Krystian Bielik, 20, has joined Walsall on loan until the end of the season.
Derby striker Chris Martin has joined Reading on loan for the rest of the season.
The 29-year-old has scored 64 goals in 188 career appearances for the Rams.
A friend of Leicester winger Riyad Mahrez has told Sky Sports the winger is "depressed" after being denied the chance to join Manchester City on deadline day.
The Premier League leaders have had three bids for Foxes ace Mahrez rejected over the last two days.
“Riyad is very depressed this evening over the events of the last two days. He doesn’t understand why Leicester have behaved in the way they have," the friend reportedly said.
"This is the fourth transfer window in which Leicester have said they will allow him to leave.
"He's given his all for Leicester. Joining City would have been a dream. Playing for Pep is something he's still desperate to do. He's very down."

Middlesbrough's Martin Braithwaite is on his way out of the club. The BBC say the striker will move to Bordeaux on loan until the end of the season, with the Ligue 1 club having an obligation to buy the player in the summer.
Denmark international Braithwaite, 26, has scored just six goals for Boro since joining the club from Toulouse for £9million six months ago.
