Nottingham Forest have pipped Manchester United and Arsenal in the race to sign Brazilian hot-prospect Danilo.

They are about to seal an £18million deal for the 21-yer-old Palmeiras midfielder after he completed a medical yesterday.

Newcastle are looking at highly-rated Spanish full-back Ivan Fresneda.

Chief scout Steve Nixon watched Fresneda play for Real Valladolid against Real Madrid last month and Newcastle staff are keen to sign the 18-year-old ahead of competition from Arsenal as well as other interested parties.
