Tottenham Hotspur captain Son Heung-min struck late on to secure a 2-1 Premier League victory over Luton Town to bolster his side’s top-four ambitions on Saturday.

Son started and finished a flowing Tottenham move in the 86th minute to leave relegation battlers Luton with nothing to show from a spirited display in north London.

Tahith Chong gave Luton a surprise early lead with Son being denied by the woodwork soon afterwards. Tottenham equalised in the 51st minute when Issa Kabore scored an own goal and the hosts’ pressure was eventually rewarded with Son’s clincher.

Tottenham moved into fourth place with 56 points, ahead of Aston Villa on goals scored although Villa were in action later at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Luton slipped back below Nottingham Forest into the relegation zone.

It's all over in north London, as Spurs come back from 1-0 down to defeat Luton 2-1 late on, thanks to a timely strike from their captain Son Heung-Min! Despite Luton pressing for an early goal to match Chong's strike in the first half, it was Spurs who got themselves level just six minutes into the second period. Vicario saved Barkley's shot at one end, and within just seconds, Johnson's enticing cross from the right was unfortunately turned into his own net by Kabore! Spurs continued to press for a winner through Son, Werner, Porro and Johnson, while Clark went closest for Luton at the other end. All would be denied by Kaminski and Vicario in the respective nets, but the hosts rallied again with just four minutes left on the clock. Werner's cross was steered into Son's path by Johnson, and the Tottenham captain rifled home the winner to spark pandemonium in the stands. The hosts held on to secure a 2-1 victory which returns them to the winners' circle, while Luton's wait for three points in the Premier League extends beyond the two-month mark. Spurs are back in fourth - for now - while Luton's late defeat sees them drop back into the relegation zone as the final home straight of the season begins.

CHANCE!!! Townsend's clever reverse pass finds Kabore on a continuing run down the right, but the full-back's cross into a crowded Spurs box can't be turned home as both Clark and Mpanzu are closed down and dispossessed!

CHANCE!!! Mengi's awful clearance ricochets off Lo Celso and bounces straight into the path of Richarlison. He goes down in the box having appeared to be fouled by the defender, but Mengi - already on a yellow card - gets away with it!

Bentancur's clever flick allows an advanced Hojbjerg to play Werner into the box, but the forward's shot from a tight angle is flashed behind for a goal-kick!

Townsend snatches at a 25-yard shot against his former club which Romero gets in the way of, and Kabore's cross on the follow-up is a poor one, sailing behind and into the side netting!
