Roberson pounces on a loose backpass and drives into the box, but he can’t fire the shot across the goalkeeper. The finish is poor, you have to say, and Robertson is disappointed that he didn’t do better.

15 mins: Save! Lovely play from Scotland down the left. Robertson fizzes a pass into Armstrong before receiving the return pass. Armstrong then drives around the outside Robertson and fires a shot across goal, which Namașco beats clear.

11 mins: Adams has made an encouraging start to the match as Scotland’s lone striker. He shows good hold-up play before finding Patterson in space down the right - but the wing-back can’t keep it in play as he tried to burst around the outside.

9 mins: Save! More good play from Scotland, again down the left. Tierney finds himself in space after making an overlapping run before his cross is headed clear. It breaks to Gilmour on the edge and his volley is beaten clear by goalkeeper Namașco, before the ball is scrambled clear by the Moldovan defence.
