From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Aaron Mooy scored twice as Huddersfield climbed off the bottom of the Premier League table with a surprise 2-0 victory against Wolves.

The Australia international midfielder found the net in each half as the Terriers were deserved winners at Molineux, where the hosts looked off the pace on their return from the international break.

Mooy's double was the first time Huddersfield had scored twice in a game this season and their second win of the campaign lifted David Wagner's team up to 14th in the table. Wolves are now without a win in five Premier League matches, losing four. PA

Wolves 0-1 Huddersfield

Again, Huddersfield win the ball back in the middle. Mounie collects it and fires a shot from distance. It's dipping, but Patricio holds on.

Three minutes of added time will be played. Half time can't come soon enough for Wolves.

Wolves 0-1 Huddersfield

45+3 minutes

Huddersfield should be 2-0 up. A free header from a corner is blocked and Wolves frantically clear the ball.

Half time: Wolves survive until the break just a goal down, but they are fortunate. Huddersfield have been excellent, tactically superior and more purposeful. If they can win here, they'll climb from 20th to 14th.

This has been by far Huddersfield's most effective performance of the season in an attacking sense. They have maintained a compact shape off the ball and countered with pace and direction. Wagner will know, though, that chances need to be converted. His side could feasibly have been three or four goals to the good here. Instead, it is just 1-0, and Wolves remain in the game. They have scored 10 of their 12 Premier League goals in the second half, too.

Wolves make a double change: Traore and Gibbs-White replace Moutinho and Cavaleiro.

And we're back underway for the second half.

Wolves 0-1 Huddersfield

Not much has changed so far. Mounie, and those playing just off him, are still causing problems, and Wolves look bereft of ideas in the final third.

Wolves 0-1 Huddersfield

52 minutes

Traore gets the Wolves fans of their seats for perhaps the first time tonight. He bursts towards the edge of the box and goes to ground. The resulting free kick comes to nothing.

Wolves 0-1 Huddersfield

54 minutes

Mounie, again, finds himself in space and looks to feed Pritchard. The midfielder goes down under a challenge but his appeals for a free kick are ignored.
