Tim Sherwood was today sacked as manager of Tottenham.

The news came as little surprise amid much speculation he would be axed.

It ends a six-month spell that will be well remembered - either fondly if one was a fan of the man in the gilet - or if not, then as a time for Tottenham to forget.
