Good evening and welcome to our live coverage of Southampton vs West Brom!
2' - Southampton's Dusan Tadic threatens early on down the left wing, beating a couple of players before delivering a lofted cross which is cleared away by Nacer Chadli.
3' - Decent effort! Gareth Barry lets fly from distance with his weaker right foot and the ball ripples the side netting. Ben Foster was worried there.
9' - It's been a rather cagey start at St Mary's. Neither side yet to really trouble the opposition goalkeeper. Perhaps to be expected from two teams that have won just one game out of their last 10 between them.
14' - Mario Lemina tries his luck from distance but the Southampton midfielder's effort flies way off target. That shot just about sums up the opening quarter-of-an-hour of this match.
15' - Ryan Bertrand sends a decent cross in towards the far post where Shane Long and Manolo Gabbiadini are waiting but West Brom manage to clear their lines.
