Your support helps us to tell the story

From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Tottenham vs Mancester United

We'll provide updates from all the Premier League matches this evening while focusing on the big clash at Wembley.

Alexis Sanchez is in line to make his first start for Manchester United in the Premier League after switching Arsenal for Jose Mourinho's side. The Chilean started against Yeovil Town on Friday and put in an impressive shift during United's 4-0 win against the League Two side.

Spurs will be looking to bounce back after disappointing 1-1 draws against Southampton and Newport County. They will be boosted by the return of Hugo Lloris and Christian Eriksen who have missed the last two games through illness.

Harry Kane will have another chance to join the Premier League 100 goals club if he scores one this evening.

Chelsea vs Bournemouth

Chelsea will be without Michy Batsuayi who has completed his loan move to Borussia Dortmund where he will play until the end of the season. In his place the Blue have signed Olivier Giroud from Arsenal on an 18-month contract. The French forward played during Arsenal's 3-1 defeat against Swansea last night and will not feature tonight.

Everton vs Leicester

Leicester are without Riyad Mahrez this evening who has not traveled with the squad to Goodison Park. The Independent's Northern Football Correspondent Mark Critchley has all the details on Manchester City's interest in the winger.

Done deal

Tottenham have confirmed the signing of Lucas Moura. I imagine it might be a little too late to play him this evening.
