From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Manchester United will be looking for their first victory in three games when they take on Everton at Old Trafford.

Paulo Dybala’s goal saw Juventus take the points in midweek, while Ross Barkley’s equaliser in added time at Stamford Bridge last weekend saw United held to draw.

Everton meanwhile will be eager to add to the pressure on Jose Mourinho with a third successive victory following wins against Leicester City and Crystal Palace. Follow all of the latest below.

What time does it start?

Manchester United vs Everton kicks off at 4pm.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on Sky Sports’ Premier League and Main Event channels from 3:30pm. The match is also available on Now TV by grabbing a Sky Sports Day Pass for just £7.99. Highlights will be shown at 10:30pm on BBC One.

It’s a big game for…

Romelu Lukaku: Jose Mourinho admitted that this is not a “sweet moment” for the Belgian, and no goals in eight matches very much encapsulates that. Six goals in four games preceded the former Everton man’s current barren run, and there will be no better time to get his first at Old Trafford this season than against his former side.

Best stat…

98: Manchester United have scored 98 goals against Everton in the Premier League, more than against any other opponent.

Player to watch…

Andre Gomes: The Barcelona loanee made an impressive debut for the Toffees last weekend against Crystal Palace. The midfielder was fantastic in recovering the ball and was similarly impressive in starting off attacks, providing a flashback to the Portuguese’s performances at Valencia and why Barcelona paid £42m for his services in 2016.

Odds…

Manchester United to win: 7/10

Everton to win: 21/5

Draw: 11/4

68 min: Manchester Utd 2-0 Everton

The pace of the game has somewhat slowed in the last five minutes, with Andre Gomes' looping header the only effort of note. What can the two sides conjure up with a little over 20 minutes to go?

72 min: Manchester Utd 2-0 Everton

Everton have had the better chances since United's second, but this one also goes begging.

Richarlison rolls the United defender and plays in Seamus Coleman, but he fires over under pressure from a backtracking Martial.

76 min: Manchester Utd 2-0 Everton

Penalty to Everton! Paul Pogba has been showing a fair few flicks in the last few minutes, but his latest allows Everton in and forces Chris Smalling into fouling Richarlison in the area

GOAL! Manchester Utd 2-1 Everton (Sigurdsson pen 77')

Game on! No messing around from the Iceland midfielder, who emphatically converts the spot kick into the top corner.

80 min: Manchester Utd 2-1 Everton

Double substitution for Marco Silva despite the goal. Theo Walcott and Idrissa Gueye are hauled off and Cenk Tosun and Dominic Calvert-Lewin replace the duo.

82 min: Manchester Utd 2-1 Everton

That is just how it has been going for Lukaku lately. Paul Pogba gallops down the right and sends in a terrific cross.

Michael Keane is caught out and Lukaku is left free, but he makes poor contact with the ball and it goes harmlessly wide.

Superb display from Juan Mata this afternoon, but he is now replaced by fellow Spaniard Ander Herrera with five minutes plus added time remaining.

Centurions.

90 min: Manchester Utd 2-1 Everton

Everton seem to have run out of steam, as Paul Pogba attempts to add a third, but his deflcted shot pops up nicely for Pickford.

However the Toffees are thrown a lifeline, with six minutes added time put on the board.

90+3 min : Manchester Utd 2-1 Everton

Everton are sending long balls and crosses into the United box, without a lot of success it must be said so far...
