Arsenal vs Watford match report: Alex Iwobi stars in accomplished performance
40 min: Barkley claims possession in the centre of the park but rushes to catch United on the break. Unmarked and in acres of space, he overplays his ball through to Lukaku ahead of him and hands the ball straight back to the home side. Wasted opportunity.
43 min: A half-chance for United as the ball works its way through Schneiderlin to Mata on the right-hand side of the box. He floats the ball above the heads of the Everton defence and looks to pick out Lingard but he can't quite find his United teammate. The cross falls to Robles who clings onto the ball.
45+1 min: Martial ends the first half with a decent run into the box but he loses control of the ball when confronted by Jaielka and slips. The Everton defender nicks the ball from the Manchester man and boots the ball away to the sound of the half-time whistle.
HALF TIME: Manchester United 0-0 Everton: After the highs of the Manchester Derby, it seems United have crashed back down to reality. They've struggled to break down their opposition and have created only half-chances at best. They've enjoyed more possession but are lacking that vital streak of creativity needed to grab themselves a goal. Everton have defended well but they've looked even more lifeless going forward with Lukaku suffering in isolation. It's been a boring and slow half of football to say the least...Lingard and Coleman wrestle for the ball

And that's the whistle for the second half - let's hope the second half can make up for an especially dry first 45 minutes!
46 min: De Gea goes to clear a back pass from Fosu-Mensah but launches it straight into the stands for an Everton throw. It looks like this half will be following in a similar vein to the first 45 minutes. Fantastic...
48 min: Everton threaten the United box with some quick link-up play between Barkley and Lukaku. After being unable to break the Manchester line, the ball is recycled and ends up with Baines. Lennon makes the run, taking his man with him, freeing up the space for Baines to pick out Lukaku on the penalty spot. With Smalling on his back, he goes to turn and tries the shot but the United defender gets a foot on the ball and forces the corner.
