From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference.Manchester City entertain Swansea City at the Etihad on Sunday afternoon, in a meeting of two sides who have embarked upon something of a resurgence.
The Swans certainly, since Paul Clement's arrival in south Wales, look like a different prospect. Wins over Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Southampton have lifted them out of the relegation places.
After their pummeling at Goodison, Pep Guardiola's City have also picked up. The draw with Tottenham was followed by empahtic wins at Selhurst Park in the FA Cup and another in the league at the London Stadium.
What time is kick-off?
The match will kick off at 1.30pm on Sunday 5 February.
Where can I watch it?
It will be shown live on Sky Sports 1, with highlights on BBC One at 10.30pm.

32 MINS
De Bruyne sends a corner into the box that falls to the feet of Toure, but the Ivorian's strike on goal fails to beat Fabianski. It's another good save from the Polish goalie.
35 MINS
City are relentlessly pummelling the Swansea defence with faultless intensity. The half-time whistle can not come quick enough for the visitors. Guardiola's men should arguably have increased their advantage by now.
38 MINS
Silva and Sane link tremendously, but the delivery into the box flies past Jesus. Fernandinho hunts down the loose possession by the back post, but runs it out of play.
40 MINS
City have had 10 attempts on goal so far, compared to a drab 0 from Swansea.
42 MINS
Yellow card: De Bruyne clips Olsson as he sprints down the left-hand side. It's not a malicious tackle, but it's late.
43 MINS
The free kick is delivered into the box by Sigurdsson, but it fails to get past the head of Firmino. The danger is easily cleared.
44 MINS
Yellow card: Sterling goes into the book for diving. It looks although he went to ground to get out of the way of Fabianski, but Mike Dean has spoken.
HALF TIME
City enter the interval with a one goal advantage, thanks to Jesus's early opener. Guardiola's men have dominated for the whole first half, yet the one goal deficit remains within reach for Swansea. Clement will be relieved to hear the half-time whistle, so he can re-group and tactically tweak his side for the second half. Caballero remains untested for City and this needs to change if the visitors wish to make an impact.
It's far from over. Stay tuned.
