From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.
Your support makes all the difference. It’s the final home game at the Etihad Stadium for a memorable – and utterly dominant – season for Manchester City, at it will culminate with Pep Guardiola getting his hands on the Premier League trophy for the first time.
City face Huddersfield Town, who still aren’t safe from the drop, looking to hit the 100 point mark, which they can only do by winning their remaining three games.
Huddersfield are nearly safe as Swansea and Southampton play each other next but could do without a heavy defeat given their inferior goal difference – it is the second worst in the division.

Draw: 14/1
Graham Souness has not been with impressed with Manchester City in the first half, and is particularly critical on Sky Sports of David Silva for not squaring the ball to Raheem Sterling or Gabriel Jesus when through on goal.
"Just roll it across, don't tell me he doesn't see it because he sees everything. Fernandinho pulling out of challenges that's just not city. They're playing against a team that's fighting for their lives."
52: We've had a fairly scrappy start to the first half, Manchester City are struggling to slip into any kind of rhythm and the visitors are playing like their nickname, Terriers, suggests.
54: Off the line!
From a Manchester City corner, Jonas Lossl comes to collect the ball at the near post but somehow manages to bundle the ball towards the line. On hand to clear is Christopher Schindler who saves his goalkeeper and Huddersfield embarrassment.
56: Benjamin Mendy continues his comeback and enters the action in place of Fabian Delph.
59: Steve Mounie makes way for Laurent Depoitre.
Huddersfield have 30 minutes to hold on or find a winner.
A reminder that Manchester City are still chasing some impressive records.
66: Time wasting season is already upon us and Tommy Smith goes into Mike Dean's book for taking his time with a deep free kick.
67: His standards are so high but he hasn't quite reached that this afternoon, Kevin De Bruyne makes way for Ilkay Gundogan.
68: David Silva finds Leroy Sane in the box with a beautifully weighted lofted pass but the German can't find room to shoot as City crank up the pressure.
The Huddersfield team that were brave on the ball in the first half haven't emerged after the interval. Clearances are now being pumped up the pitch with little consideration and City attacks keep on coming.
