From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Unsurprisingly, Leicester have made no changes to their starting side wheres West Ham have made five to the side that played United earlier on in the week. Adrian replaces Randolph, Reid moves in for Tomkins at centre-back, Emmanuel Emenike earns his place above Andy Carroll, while Moses and Obiang both start having come on from the bench last Thursday.
Andy Carroll's absence from the starting line-up will certainly draw questions from fans and pundits alike. The big Geordie was so effective last week against Arsenal when he bagged himself a hat-trick but he's lost his place today to Emmanuel Emenike. Morgan and Huth can breathe a sigh of relief...Hopefully Slaven Bilic will enlighten us as to why he's made the decision when he gives his pre-match interview.
In other news, we've done some number-crunching and there's a chance that Leicester could be named Premier League champions as early as next week. Take a read to see how...
