Your support helps us to tell the story
From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

It’s a big game for…
Philippe Coutinho. The Brazilian is still working his way back to full fitness after a three-month injury layoff but Liverpool are desperate to get him back to top form in order to reverse their slump. On paper, Hull will be a perfect game for him to do that.
Remember when…
Liverpool thrashed Hull 5-1 in the reverse fixture this season, with James Milner scoring two penalties in the rout.
Player to watch…
Sadio Mane. Mane is back from the Africa Cup of Nations and has been desperately missed by Liverpool. His restoration to the first team will be a timely one as Roberto Firmino in particular has struggled without Mane.

HULL 0 - 0 LIVERPOOL
The home side look strong at back and are dealing with the Liverpool attacks at the moment. However, Silva's men will need to show some attacking menace if they wish to be rewarded for their efforts.
EVERTON 3 - 0 BOURNEMOUTH
GOAL
Lukaku has pounced on a defensive lap by Francis and simply slots the third past Boruc.
HULL CITY 0 - 0 LIVERPOOL
The visitors are all over them and are having the majority of chances, but Hull remain strong and keep the scoreline level. Liverpool are starting to look frustrated.
