From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Hull City take on Tottenham with both teams already consigned to their respective Premier League fates.

The home side know they will be relegated back to the Championship after just one season, and are playing for pride this afternoon. Spurs have no chance of catching Chelsea, of course, but Harry Kane will hope to win the Golden Boot.

Harry Kane: Following his four-goal blitz against Leicester in mid-week, the England international is two goals ahead of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku in the race for the Premier League’s Golden Boot. Another strike or two against the Tigers should be enough to seal the prize for the second straight year.

Weird /best stat…

8: The number of wins Hull have registered at home in the Premier League this season – one more than sixth-placed Manchester United.

Remember when…

Gylfi Sigurdsson scored this impressive effort for Spurs in their League Cup tie with the Tigers in 2013. Following a 2-2 draw after extra time, the White Hart Lane side won 8-7 on penalties -

Here come the Chelsea players to receive the trophy. First a slightly sad bunch of five players who didn't play enough to get a medal. Nathan Ake and Kenedy among those five.

Now here comes Antonio Conte to rapturous applause and chants from the fans and now here are the remainder of the Chelsea team. John Terry and Gary Cahill are the last two out.

Here comes John Terry to join the rest of his team mates on the podium... He lifts the trophy above his head and the celebrations begin! Chelsea are crowned 2016/17 Premier League champions.
