Brighton responded to conceding the fastest goal in the English Premier League this season to beat 10-man Huddersfield 2-1 on Saturday.

Mathias Jorgensen headed Huddersfield in front after 55 seconds after a defensive mix-up but the hosts played the final hour with 10 men following the dismissal of striker Steve Mounie, who was handed a straight red card for a studs-up tackle.

Brighton equalized in first-half stoppage time through Shane Duffy's towering header and made its numerical advantage tell in the second period, with Romania striker Florin Andone's 69th-minute strike — his first goal in English soccer - clinching victory.

It was Brighton's first win in four league matches and lifted the south-coast team into 11th place.

Player to watch…

Aaron Mooy: The Australian was at his scintillating best against Wolves in David Wagner’s side’s 2-0 win. He bagged both goals, the first a brilliant strike from outside the box before curling in a free-kick delightfully in the second half. Huddersfield could potentially move up to 13th depending on other results and if they are to have any chance of that they will need their midfielder to be on-song once again.

Southampton vs Man Utd

Southampton are without a win against Manchester United in their last five meetings (league and cup), losing three of them and they are winless in the last 10 home meetings in all competitions, losing eight.

Manchester United have come from behind to beat Southampton eight times in the Premier League - a joint-high in the competition but Romelu Lukaku's winner last season is the only goal scored in the past three league meetings between the two sides.
