From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Arsenal survived a scare to grind out a win over Huddersfield Town to boost their hopes of finishing inside the top four.

The Gunners raced into a 2-0 lead thanks to Alex Iwobi and Alexandre Lacazette.

But Town responded well, but their goal came too late to provide more pressure in pursuit of a point, with Sead Kolasinac putting through his own net in stoppage time.

Relive the action as it happened above.

Just five minutes to go until kickoff. The focus will largely be at Anfield to see how Jurgen Klopp's men react to City's resurgence, but there are a whole load of intriguing battles taking place across the grounds.

The Marco Silva derby takes place at Vicarage Road, while Unai Emery is under similar pressure with his side more defensive than usual at bottom club Huddersfield.

So who will the pressure build on today?

6 min: Southampton 0-0 Cardiff

An emotional afternoon on the south coast for the visitors after the passing of Emiliano Sala, but neither side has taken the initiative so far.

9 min: Huddersfield 0-0 Arsenal

Jan Siewert's side are well up for this. They have started well in the opening exchanges but the Gunners are looking to pose a threat through Alexandre Lacazette.

10 min: Watford 0-0 Everton

Lively start at Vicarage Road, where Jordan Pickford knows little about it, but he denies Etienne Capoue following the Frenchman's powerful strike from six yards out.
