The Hornets' 2-1 defeat by Manchester United blemished their perfect start to the campaign and Javi Gracia is determined to regain some of that lost momentum at Craven Cottage.
Fulham have shown promising signs in their opening five games, particularly in the attacking third with Aleksandar Mitrovic and Andre Schurrle particularly threatening, but with only four points on the board this is an opportunity to climb the table.

Free kick to Watford, Fosu-Mesah brings down Pereyra in a dangerous area. Holebas delivers the ball into the box and it's headed out for a corner
9 mins: Fulham 0 - 1 Watford
Fulham break away after a poor short corner and the ball comes to Schurrle, he loses time as he tries to get his bearings but he puts in a long ball to Vietto he controls it with his chest in the Watford box but Foster is quick off his line and collects

Watford are completely opened up on the counter attack again, two passes through the mid-field and Vietto was away again, he outpaces Cathcart and fires a shot at Foster, who makes a good save. The ball comes back to Vietto though and he can't quite curl the ball into the net, sending it wide instead

Kabasele should have doubled Watford's lead. He gets a free header on the end of a Holebas corner but only finds the back of Sessegnon who was defending in front of goal.

Holebas delivers another free kick into the area but it's ounched out by Bettinelli, Doucoure hits it first time and goes wide. Watford return the ball after the goal kick, it's long but Mawson makes a mistake heading the ball back to his keeper but Gray is in the way, Bettinelli flies off his line and smothers the shot from Watford's goalscorer

Watford are dominating possession in the areas they want to play in, Fulham can only get the ball into Watford's final third when they break on the counter and they're being completely outplayed in mid-field.
24 mins: Fulham 0 - 1 Watford
Fulham see some more of the ball, Schurrle gets it out wide on the left wing, he delivers the cross but Cathcart puts it out for a corner. Sessegnon whips it in and it sails over everyone
26 mins: Fulham 0 - 1 Watford
Mitrovic has his best chance of the half, the ball is fed into him as he runs into the box, he collects it with his left foot before switching it back to his right for the shot. The delay allows Cathcart to retain his composure and block the shot
30 mins: Fulham 0 - 1 Watford
Mawson gets put in the book for a tough challenge on Pereyra, Deeney didn't like it and made his displeasure known to Mawson. The ref splits them up and Holebas delivers the free kick straight into the waiting arms of Bettinelli
