From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Kurt Zouma scored his first Everton goal as the Toffees beat Bournemouth 2-0 at Goodison Park.

The Cherries impressed for large parts of the first half and saw David Brooks hit a post after 18 minutes.

Everton, though, grabbed the opening goal just after the hour mark when Zouma headed home Digne's cross.

The hosts then wrapped up the three points when substitute Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted Lookman's low cross in added time.

Sissoko, surprisingly, is back onto the pitch. It may not have been as serious as first thought, although he is limping.

GOAL! Tottenham 0-1 Manchester United (Rashford)

United lead! Trippier gives the ball away to Lingard, who finds Pogba. The Frenchman plays a superb pass into the path of Rashford, who gets the ball out of his feet and drives the ball past Lloris into the bottom corner.

Half time: United go in a goal up at the break, then. They've executed their game plan well, defending resolutely and countering with devastating pace. The goal was a perfect example of that. Tottenham have a task on their hands now to turn this around after the break.

United get us going again. Can they hold on to their lead and move level on points with Arsenal?

Kane finds Son, who cuts in from the left and gets an early second-half shot off. There's no power on it, though, and De Gea saves easily.

Big chance for Kane! Spurs work the ball brilliantly through the lines, and Alli plays a pass into the path of Spurs' top scorer. His first touch is good, but his finish is too close to De Gea, who saves with his feet.
