Kurt Zouma scored his first Everton goal as the Toffees beat Bournemouth 2-0 at Goodison Park.

The Cherries impressed for large parts of the first half and saw David Brooks hit a post after 18 minutes.

Everton, though, grabbed the opening goal just after the hour mark when Zouma headed home Digne's cross.

The hosts then wrapped up the three points when substitute Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted Lookman's low cross in added time.

Re-live the action below:

Everton 0-0 Bournemouth

48 minutes

Sigurdsson plays an almost perfect cross in the direction of Bernard, but the diminutive Brazilian can't get his head to it. Everton have started the second half as they finished the first.

So close! The ball drops to Richarlison yards out and his shot looks certain to nestle in the back of the net. Ake is there on the line to block and Bournemouth survive, just about.

Now the visitors come close. Fraser swings in a corner and Cook glances a header towards the far post. Pickford is beaten but the ball loops just over the bar and lands on the roof of the net.

Everton 0-0 Bournemouth

Lerma, typically robust in midfield, clatters into Bernard and gives away a free kick. Sigurdsson floats the set piece into the box and Ake heads it clear. It only gets as far as Bernard, who volleys harmlessly over the bar. The tempo has died down a little after a frenetic start to the second half.

Everton 0-0 Bournemouth

59 minutes

It's all getting a bit scrappy in midfield. Everton have done well to restrict Bournemouth since that opening half hour, but they're struggling to find any rhythm themselves at the moment.

GOAL! Everton 1-0 Bournemouth (Zouma)

61 minutes

Everton lead! Digne, collecting the ball on the left, lifts a cross into the box. Zouma meets it and heads past Begovic, who had rushed out in an attempt to punch the ball clear. It's the Frenchman's first goal for the club, and it could be an important one.

Everton 1-0 Bournemouth

65 minutes

A let off for Keane, who loses the ball after a loose touch and flies into a challenge on Fraser. The ball is played through to King, whose shot hits the side netting. Keane goes into the book for his poor tackle.

Everton 1-0 Bournemouth

Now Gomes and Zouma are in the book as things get a bit feisty. Bournemouth are awarded a free kick, a decision Everton's players clearly disagree with. Their dissent could get them in more trouble if they're not careful.

Callum Rice-Coates13 January 2019 15:41

Everton 1-0 Bournemouth

68 minutes

Bournemouth make a change: Mousset is on in place of Stanislas.

Everton 1-0 Bournemouth

71 minutes

Bournemouth are trying to force their way back into this one, but they're struggling to create chances as readily as in the first half. Brooks has been subdued since half time and Fraser hasn't been as effective.
