Everton fixtures 2016/17: Ronald Koeman starts new era against Tottenham with all eyes on Southampton return

Everton will begin life under Ronald Koeman by welcoming Tottenham to Goodison Park after being handed a generous run of fixtures to start the season.

While Spurs present a difficult opening weekend challenge, fixtures against West Brom, Stoke, Sunderland, Middlesbrough and Bournemouth follow.

However, all eyes will be on Koeman's return to Southampton, with the Dutchman set to head back to St Mary's on 26 November in what could prove to be a frosty reception.

Here are some of the highlights from Everton’s fixture list to look out for:

First game

Everton will face Tottenham at Goodison Park on the 13 August 2016.

Last game

Everton will play against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on the 21 May 2017.

Liverpool: 17 December (H), 01 April (A)

Southampton: 26 November (A), 02 January (H)

Over the festive period

Everton will play over the festive period Leicester on Boxing Day, Hull on the 31 December and Southampton in the New Year.
