From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Your support makes all the difference.

Chelsea had to come from behind to beat rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge, but took all three points thanks to goals from Pedro and Victor Moses.

Liverpool got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Sunderland, while Manchester City are level on points with the Merseysiders after beating Burnley.

Burnley 1 Manchester City 0: Man City are really starting to put Burnley under some pressure now, some good work down the right from Sterling sets up Nolito, but his shot is blocked behind for a corner.

GOAL! Burnley 1 Manchester City 1 - Sergio AgueroCity are level! Massively scrappy goal, but they all count. Burnley fail to adequately clear from a corner and the ball eventually finds its way to Aguero at the back post who is on hand to poke it home from close range. All square now.

Burnley 1 Manchester City 1: Great save from Paul Robinson! Aguero's long range effort is turned round the post. Meanwhile goalscorer Dean Marney is going off injured for Burnley.

29 - Sergio Aguero has now scored against 29 of the 30 different teams that he's faced in the Premier League. Lethal.

Burnley 1 Manchester City 1: Now Gudmundsson has had to go off injured as well. It's all gone wrong for Burnley in the last few minutes.

Burnley 1 Manchester City 1: Half time approaching in this game. It's been a fairly good first half, although you feel Man City could run rampant in the second half if they can get themselves together. As it is though, Burney have another good chance, but Claudio Bravo saves easily from the header.

HALF TIMEBurnley 1 Manchester City 1 - Paul Robinson in fine form for Burnley.
