Manchester City overcame the midweek losses of Sergio Aguero, Vincent Kompany and Benjamin Mendy to injury with a brilliant 1-0 victory over Chelsea in a match that they dominated and imposed over the reigning Premier League champions.
The match was finely balanced when Chelsea lost Alvaro Morata to what appeared to be a hamstring injury midway through the first half, but rather than send on Michy Batshuayi, Antonio Conte elected to replace him with Willian.
It left Chelsea without a focal point up front, and City went on the attack after the break, leading to Kevin De Bruyne's winner against his former side that ensures City remain level on points at the top of the table with Manchester United.

What times does it start?

It’s a big game for?
Gabriel Jesus. With Sergio Aguero out, the responsibility of leading the front line falls solely on the Brazilian’s young shoulders. Jesus has been a revelation since joining City at the start of the year. His youth, confidence and verve have made for a dangerously good player who has seemed unfazed by every challenge laid at his door. Against Chelsea he faces a well-drilled and hardened Conte side who will be looking to teach the youngster a lesson in Premier League life. No doubt he’s up for the task.
Player to watch?
Eden Hazard. The Belgian was simply sublime against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday night, taking charge as the Blues recorded a memorable European win in the Spanish capital. His mazy runs, quick feet and vision will be intrinsic to Chelsea’s game plan against City. If Guardiola’s men are to stand any chance against the hosts, they’ll need to keep Hazard under wraps.

54 mins: David Silva is playing some delightful short passes around this compact Chelsea defence. The latest wins a corner which falls to Sterling on the edge of the box but the Englishman volleys over on his left foot.
56 mins: City building more pressure but Chelsea are refusing to buckle.
58 mins: Fernandinho gets a talking to for bringing Willian down on the half-way line. Lucky to escape without a card.
60 mins: Fernandinho does go in the book this time though as he brings down Eden Hazard 35 yards from goal. Can Chelsea get anything from it? Big Gary Cahill is up from the back, as is Antonio Rudiger.
61 mins: The free-kick goes quickly out to Hazard who fires it at the back post and Ederson parries away.
65 mins: It's another super ball from De Bruyne towards the near post but Jesus can't quite get enough on it and Courtois collects.
66 mins: Brilliant block from Alonso as Silva looked almost certain to score from 12 yards out. Chelsea clear only temporarily. Sterling crosses it back in but it finds no one.
Michy Batshuayi coming on for the Blues.
GOAL! Chelsea 0 Manchester City 1 (De Bruyne)
De Bruyne runs in from the right-wing where he has spent large parts of this game, receives the ball just on the edge of the box and unleashes one with his left foot towards the top corner. Courtois has no chance. Great goal and a deserved lead for the visitors.
SUBS: Eden Hazard is going off for Pedro and Bakyoko is replaced by Batshuayi.
