From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. After over an hour of trying, Liverpool finally hit back against Chelsea to maintain their unbeaten start to the Premier League. Eden Hazard struck in the first half to ensure Maurizio Sarri's side came out on top after an intense opening period, but Daniel Strurridge's wonderful late goal means the points are shared.

The home side had defended well and David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger were on hand to clear off the line to prevent Liverpool scoring an earlier equaliser. Xheradan Shaqiri also went close with an effort going wide from close range and Alisson was called on several times to keep Chelsea's early lead to just one goal.

What time does it start?

Chelsea vs Liverpool kicks off at 5:30pm (BST) on Saturday 29 September.

Where can I watch it?

The match will be shown live on BT Sport 1 from 5:00pm (BST).

BT Sport subscribers can also watch online via the BT Sport app.

Highlights will be shown at 10:30pm on BBC One.

It’s a big game for…

Mohamed Salah. The Liverpool winger has not quite found the miraculous form of last season as of yet, and will go to Stamford Bridge with a chip on his shoulder against his former club. Salah, who was unable to make an impact in the midweek defeat as a late substitute, was barely given a chance during his time at Chelsea from 2014 to 2016, and will want to silence the home fans with an eye-catching performance.

Best stat…

Three: Chelsea have only won three of their last 11 home games against Liverpool in the Premier League. Liverpool have won five.

Player to watch…

Eden Hazard: The Belgium captain is thriving under Sarri at the moment, and is the joint top scorer in the Premier League currently with five goals from six matches. The 27-year-old will be itching to attack Liverpool’s defence, after his wonderful solo goal in the last few minutes won the Carabao Cup tie on Wednesday. He’ll need to beat a different goalkeeper this time though, with Allison likely to come back into the starting XI after Simon Mignolet started in midweek.

Past three meetings…

Liverpool 1 (Sturridge) Chelsea 2 (Emerson, Hazard), Carabao Cup, September 2018

Chelsea 1 (Giroud) Liverpool 0, Premier League, May 2018

Liverpool 1 (Salah) Chelsea 1 (Willian), Premier League, November 2017

Odds…

Chelsea to win: 9/5

Liverpool to win: 6/4

Draw: 5/2

Manchester City 2-0 Brighton

Just before he was about to come off, Sergio Aguero doubles City's lead with a lovely finish after another well-worked team move.

Newcastle 0-1 Leicester

Well this won't look good on Rafa Benitez, especially with the boss in the stands. St James' Park boos his decision to bring off Matt Ritchie for Atsu. The winger appears to ask the Newcastle manager why he's coming off as he heads straight past him and onto the bench.

Everton 2-0 Fulham

Cenk Tosun heads in Theo Walcott cross and ends any hope of a Fulham comeback.

Newcastle 0-2 Leicester

Harry Maguire leaps up and heads in James Maddison's corner. Brings back memories of Russia that one.

Chelsea vs Liverpool

Of course, there's another game this evening, and it's the big one.

Wolves 1-0 Southampton

With his first touch after coming on from the bench, Ivan Cavaleiro give Wolves the lead! Jimenez controls Traore's low ball and lays it into Cavaleiro's path as he steams onto the ball and slots it in.

Arsenal 1-0 Watford

Finally, a breakthrough for Arsenal and Alexandre Lacazette!

Iwobi drills a cross to the front post and Lacazette does so well to get in front of Cathcart to convert into the net. Although on second viewing it seems like it's more of a Craig Cathcart own goal.

Arsenal 2-0 Watford

Just like that it's two!

Mesut Ozil slots in Lacazette's low cross and stings Watford to end any hope of a comeback.

It was a nice flowing move for Arsenal as they took advantage of the increased amount of space that Watford are giving them as they push forward and Ozil is in all kinds of space to score in the middle.

Wolves 2-0 Southampton

Jonny!

Traore is making all kinds of things happen and feeds the ball to Doherty after a surging run forward. Doherty gets to the byline and cuts back a cross to Jonny, who makes no mistake with his finish.
