Gary Cahill is expected to return to the side having served out his three-match suspension though Danny Drinkwater remains sidelined with a calf injury.
Arsenal will be bidding to build upon last week’s convincing win against Bournemouth. Arsene Wenger’s side will be without Theo Walcott who sustained a calf problem in the Europa League.

It’s a big game for?
Arsene Wenger. After a shaky start to the season, the Arsenal manager could really do with a morale-boosting win here at the Bridge today. Their form on the road against their top-six rivals suggests otherwise but football has a knack of throwing up surprises and Wenger will be confident his team could snatch a result against Conte’s Blues.
Player to watch?
Eden Hazard. Who else? The Belgian has fully recovered from a fractured ankle and, although he starts on the bench once again, there's no doubt he'll be brought into the fray at some point. His home performance against Arsenal last season was a sight to behold so expect the player to be looking to repeat those feats.

62 mins: A smart Arsenal move sees Kolasinac and Welbeck combine on the left, the striker exchanging passes to play the Bosnian in inside the penalty area. Cutting in from the left, Kolasinac attempts to cut a cross over Azpilicuet, but instead tackles himself and sends a hitherto promising attack out for a goalkick.
65 mins: Alvaro Morata is booked after unnecessarily bundling into the back of Shkodran Mustafi. He may be great with his head for scoring, but it's not so useful for thinking.
66 mins: Here comes Alexis Sanchez! Arsene Wenger makes his first substitution, bringing on the Chilean for the misfiring Alexandre Lacazette.
69 mins: Chelsea respond in kind. After Arsenal introduced their superstar forward, here comes Eden Hazard. The Belgian is back in Premier League action, taking over from the exhausted-looking Willian. Will it be Sanchez or Hazard who makes the match-winning difference in the final quarter of this one, or are we headed for a London stalemate?
73 mins: Another Arsenal substitution and, perhaps, another Arsenal injury. Danny Welbeck hobbles towards the touchline, holding his groin and looks in some discomfort. On in his place comes Olivier Giroud.
75 mins: The ball is in the net but it's not going to count! Shkodran Mustafi is celebrating in front of the away fans, unaware that his goal has been ruled out for offside by the linesman on the far side. It's the correct call from the official, who raises his flag immediately when the German defender moves far too early to meet Xhaka's inswinging free-kick. He's not even the only Arsenal player who went prematurely and, in the end, three of them could have been flagged.
To his despair, Mustafi finally spots the flag. You should have gone to Specsavers, Shkodran. You certainly should have gone to Inter Milan.
79 mins: Chelsea have been buoyed by Arsenal's recent disappointment, and now feel they can nick the three points. They have a crack when Alonso thumps a cross into the box, and then again as Hazard and Fabregas are denied with shots. One goal will win it now.
84 mins: Mohamed Elneny is on as Arsenal's third sub - and is halfway to being off again. Within minutes of his arrival, the Egyptian is booked for a foul on Hazard. It's a very harsh decision.
87 mins: RED CARD!
David Luiz has been sent off! Already on a booking, the Brazilian has been shown a straight red by Michael Oliver for a lunge on Sead Kolasinac right in front of the two dugouts. The Chelsea defender was in possession and bringing play forward as he barged Alexis Sanchez out of his way. That interaction, however, left him chasing the ball and as Kolasinac came into intercept, the boot of Luiz came up to catch him on the ankle. The home side will play out the final few minutes with ten men.
