From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

After the chaos of goals and red cards during Saturday’s Premier League fixtures, there was letting up on Sunday as Liverpool were stunned by Bournemouth.

The Cherrys came from 3-1 down to snatch a 4-3 victory in injury time as Jurgen Klopp's side suffered their first Premier League defeat since August.

In the later kick off, Manchester United were left frustrated again by Everton, who held them to a 1-1 draw, leaving Jose Mourinho still looking for his second Premier League win since early November and their first away from home since the 1-0 win over Hull in August.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave United a first-half lead but former Evertonian Marouane Fellaini, who came on as a substitute, gave away a clumsy penalty which Leighton Baines gratefully converted in the 89th minute.

FULL TIME

It was a relentless battle throughout, but the late introduction of Fellaini gave Everton the lifeline and they scored from the penalty spot. The early goal from Ibrahimovic was not enough to secure the three points for the visitors.

United climb a place and find them sitting at sixth in the table, whereas Everton sit just below at eighth. It's a positive point for Koeman's men, but it will seem like two points lost for the Reds.

It's been a terrific weekend of Premier League football, crammed full of shocking scorelines, raucous rivalries and exceptional goals.

That's all from us today at The Independent, it's been a pleasure. Thank you for tuning in.
