From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. We believe quality journalism should be available to everyone, paid for by those who can afford it.

Bournemouth take on Crystal Palace at the Vitality Stadium as two of the Premier League's mid-table staples bid to stake a claim for the top half of the league.

Palace come into the game three points behind the Cherries having ended a run of three straight defeats with a win over Huddersfield and a frustrating goalless draw against Newcastle.

Bournemouth's fast start to the season came to a strange halt at Burnley where they were thrashed 4-0, but Eddie Howe's side can climb up to seventh in the table with all three points tonight.

JUNIOR STANISLAS, JUST ON THE PITCH, CALMLY CHIPS DOWN THE MIDDLE! 2-1.

Cool and calm from Stanislas, but a moment of madness from Mamadou Sakho. What was the French centre-back thinking?

Bournemouth might have won it late on.

Wilfried Zaha is surrounded by five or six red and black shirts and crowded out.

Palace pouring men forward but yet again Nathan Ake gets his head to a cross and clears.

Bournemouth look fairly comfortable with three defensive-minded midfielders protecting the back four. Palace don't have a natural creator in midfield and look a little lost.

Four minutes of stoppage time are signalled as the ball rolls tamely through to Asmir Begovic.

Wild from Luka Milivojevic, finding the first row above the benches.

Bournemouth three minutes from victory. Nathan Ake gets the deserved nod for Man of the Match.

A flare up! Jefferson Lerma comes to blows with Cheikhou Kouyate and the two number eights earn yellow cards.

James Tomkins gets one for good measure for his part in instigating the ensuing scuffle with a push.

Aimless long balls. Time running out.

That kerfuffle earlier in injury time means we are still playing, but Palace are on borrowed time here. A free-kick 40 yards from goal...

Alexander Sørloth heads wide and that may be that.

THAT IS INDEED THAT, AND MAMADOU SAKHO'S EMPTY-HEADED ELBOW HAS HANDED BOURNEMOUTH A 2-1 HOME VICTORY.
