From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

Unai Emery’s team will be hoping to bounce back after a 3-1 penalty shootout defeat by Atletico Madrid earlier this week, after a 1-1 draw in normal time.
PSG will likely pose a similarly tough test, with former Arsenal managerial target Unai Emery in the dugout.

When is the match?
The match kicks-off at 12.35pm BST on Saturday 28 July.
Where is it taking place?
The Singapore National Stadium – located in, you guessed it, Singapore – will host the exhibition.
Where can I watch it?
Premier Sports will show the match live.
34 mins: Don't get carried away, lads. Ozil attempts an extravagant elaborate dummy in his own final third, only to completely miss the fact that Weah is lurking behind him. D'oh. The striker spanks a shot on goal from just outside the box, which Leno beats away.
That was close.
(Just gonna embed the following tweet to make it look like I speak French.)
39 mins: Close from Weah! The youngster gets ahead of his marker in the Arsenal penalty area only to see his low shot saved by Leno.
The 18-year-old US international has arguably been PSG's best player, just ahead of Rabiot.
42 mins: Rabiot vs Guendouzi is turning into a nice midfield battle. Plenty of hair on show. The youngster brings the ball forward for Arsenal only to be stopped in his tracks by the Frenchman, who proceeds to launch a lightning-quick counter-attack.
He spots the run of Nkunku, who evades four Arsenal markers with a mazy run before blasting a strong shot just over Leno's bar.
44 mins: A chance for Mkhitaryan! A wonderful first-touch from the Armenian to bring down Ozil's cross, but his shot on goal is directed straight at Buffon.
45 mins: One minute of added time? Come on lads, it's a friendly.
Half-time: Arsenal 1-0 Paris Saint-Germain
And there we have it! Unai Emery will be happy with that. PSG started well with Rabiot running Arsenal's defence ragged, only for Ozil to score against the run of play. From that point Arsenal dominated, with Aubameyang going close and Guendouzi impressing.
