The Gunners started slow and the atmosphere at The Emirates was very flat as Leicester launched wave after wave of attacks at the Arsenal defence who have made a habit of starting on the back foot this season. After 30 minutes the Foxes finally managed to take advantage when Ben Chilwell's driven ball across the face of goal was inadvertently redirected by Hector Bellerin into his own net.
Only then did Arsenal finally take a foothold on the game with the crowd roused by the deficit and on the stroke of half-time, Ozil finished a one-two with Bellerin with an almost slow-motion pass onto the inside of the post and in.
After the break, the Gunners maintained the revived vigour sparked by the goal as has become a mainstay under Emery this season. He introduced Aubameyang and just minutes after coming on the Gabonese striker found himself on the end of a routine tap-in, again after a lovely interchange between Bellerin and Ozil.
The final blow and comfortable cushion was snatched second later almost immediately from the restart as again Aubameyang found the tap-in after a lovely weight ball from the critic-defying German who many had speculated may miss out on a starting position this evening.
From therein the Arsenal supporters only complaints could be that they didn't add more to their total and they remain just two points of the lead in the Premier League title race.

Arsenal break on the counter after an enterprising run from Amartey saw the Leicester man make his way to the opponents area. Bellerin has the ball and takes a shot but it's blocked by Lacazette who tried to get out of the way.
15 mins: Arsenal 0 - 0 Leicester
Xhaka tugs Maddison back as he tries to advance with the ball and gives away a free kick just outside the Arsenal area. Maddison takes the free kick and fires it over the bar.
18 mins: Arsenal 0 - 0 Leicester
Holding gets a yellow card for pulling back Iheanacho and gives away a free kick. The ball comes into the box and hits Holding's hand but the referee says no penalty.
21 mins: Arsenal 0 - 0 Leicester
Harry Maguire wins a free header in Arsenal's box after it's delivered from yet another free kick. He heads it across goal looking for the bottom corner of the far post but Leno dives to his left, sticks out a hand and pushes it wide of the goal. Great save from Arsenal's goalkeeper!
24 mins: Arsenal 0 - 0 Leicester
Arsenal regain some of their composure to put a string of attacks together culminating in their first corner of the match. Xhaka takes it and Maguire heads it out for another corner. Xhaka again whips it in and this time its cleared away.
27 mins: Arsenal 0 - 0 Leicester
Ricardo challenges for the ball and clips Lichtsteiner sending him to the floor. Arsenal use the disruption to move forward quickly and find Lacazette sprinting towards goal. He receives it and fires a long range shot, narrowly missing to the right.
30 mins: Arsenal 0 - 0 Leicester
Leicester look threatening every time they go forward. Iheanacho and Ricardo combine this time on the right hand side of the box before Ricardo crosses it searching for Vardy, who is just half a stride behind the pace of the ball and can;t make it in time to head the ball towards goal.
30 mins: Arsenal 0 - 1 Leicester - Chilwell
Leicester in front and well deserved. Maguire gives Ndidi the ball in the centre of the park. Ndidi is aware of Chilwell's run and plays the ball to him, Chilwell makes a fantastic first touch to put the ball past Bellerin at right back and he follows it up with a left footed shot that takes a slight deflection to put the ball in the back of the net.
33 mins: Arsenal 0 - 1 Leicester
Arsenal have a free kick in a dangerous area. Xhaka takes it and forces Schmeichel into tipping the ball out for a corner.
36 mins: Arsenal 0 - 1 Leicester
Xhaka is put in the book for a late challenge but Arsenal win the ball back quickly. Iwobi goes on a mad run down the left wing before cutting back inside and switching the play. Arsenal win a corner and play it quick and short, it's wasted as Leicester force them back down the pitch into their own half.
