From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.
At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.
The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. And unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock Americans out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. Arsenal thrashed Huddersfield Town 5-0 on Wednesday as a second-half onslaught helped to maintain their 100 percent home record in the Premier League this season.
Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil were on target as Arsenal scored three times in four minutes after the break to gallop away from a Huddersfield side who had recovered well having fallen behind to Alexandre Lacazette's early opener.
Olivier Giroud came off the bench to score twice as Arsenal remained in fourth place, 12 points behind leaders Manchester City and two ahead of fifth-placed Liverpool.
The margin of victory flattered Arsenal, although the quality of their finishing was sublime.
"The last 20 minutes became comfortable but I would say Huddersfield did fight very well," manager Arsene Wenger said.

67' - James Milner and Mo Salah replace Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dominic Solanke for Liverpool.
69' - Huge chance - and again it falls to Joe Allen! Peter Crouch's knockdown from Eric Pieters' cross lands right at the feet of Allen just 12 yards from goal but the former Reds midfielder can't control his shot and the ball flies well over the crossbar.
GOAL ALERT! Everton 3-0 West Ham (Rooney, 66)
You'll want to see this one on Match of the Day tonight:
73' - James Milner tries his luck from distance but his shot is blocked behind for a corner.
GOAL! Stoke 0-2 Liverpool (Salah)
77' - It's that man again. Sadio Mane drives the ball to the right-wing byline before standing a cross up for Mo Salah, who volleys the ball home at the far post. Super finish.
GOAL ALERT! Manchester City 1-1 Southampton (Romeu, 75)
Things just got very interesting at the Etihad.
