From reproductive rights to climate change to Big Tech, The Independent is on the ground when the story is developing. Whether it's investigating the financials of Elon Musk's pro-Trump PAC or producing our latest documentary, 'The A Word', which shines a light on the American women fighting for reproductive rights, we know how important it is to parse out the facts from the messaging.

At such a critical moment in US history, we need reporters on the ground. Your donation allows us to keep sending journalists to speak to both sides of the story.

The Independent is trusted by Americans across the entire political spectrum. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice to earn Arsenal victory over Burnley as Mesut Ozil returned to the side to captain the Gunners.

After losing their last two following a 22-game unbeaten streak, Unai Emery's side got back to winning ways as Aubameyang moved clear of Mohamed Salah as the Premier League's leading goalscorer.

His 11th and 12th strikes of the season were just enough to seal a 3-1 victory over Sean Dyche's battling Burnley, who got back into the game through Ashley Barnes and rattled their hosts at times before substitute Alex Iwobi scored late on.

Burnley have never taken a point off of Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium...

The players are on the pitch, and kick off is imminent.

Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang combine on the centre spot and the game is underway.

Arsenal start with a four across the defence. There was some chatter that Mohamed Elneny may have started at centre-back, but the Egyptian is alongside Matteo Guendouzi and Grait Xhaka in midfield.

Chances at both ends!

Joe Hart is forced into an outstanding save low to his right as Ainsley Maitland-Niles finds space down the right, while James Tarkowski does well to react quickly and clear with Arsenal players ready to turn the rebound home.

Burnley break and Ashley Westwood is freed by Ashley Barnes breaking through the middle, but the midfielder's finish is scuffed somewhat, flicking off Bernd Leno and earning Burnley an early corner.

A quick start to this game. Chris Wood is left alone by the Arsenal defence (believing him to be offside) and the home side are fortunate that Wood has to come back to the ball and thus unable to run away from them.

Mohamed Elneny miscontrols towards his own goal, allowing Jack Cork to nip in and surge beyond Elneny.

Cork rather wastes a good opportunity to force a chance, turning down both the shot and the pass and running himself into a group of Arsenal defenders, and Elneny eventually works back to dispossess him.

Granit Xhaka fires in a low curler from about 30 yards out, but the curl takes it safely into Joe Hart's midriff and the goalkeeper gathers.

Alexandre Lacazette does well to find space on the left and the cross comes across to the far post.

Mohamed Elneny leaps highest and heads powerfully towards the far corner, but there are enough Burnley bodies there to block and scramble the ball away after a couple of ricochets.

Both side with early chances, but it remains 0-0.

Burnley settle things down for the first time in this game's rather hectic infancy, showing competency in stroking the ball between midfield and defence.

A loose ball bounces kindly for Burnley but Chris Wood's volleyed pass for Jack Cork (once again charging forward from midfield) is overhit.

A shame for the visitors - Cork was free and a better weighted pass would have offered him an excellent opportunity.
