Meanwhile Luton Town are making their first appearance in the Premier League, having risen from non-league in an incredible decade of progress. They followed Championship winners Burnley and second-placed Sheffield United in earning promotion to the top flight.

Steve Cooper makes two changes from the defeat at Arsenal. Awoniyi is recalled to the starting XI after scoring from the bench at the Emirates, while Williams is also brought in with Aina and Yates dropping to the bench. Niakhite is also named among the substitutes after recovering from an elbow injury. Omar Richards, Felipe and Wayne Hennessey are long-term absentees.
